If you’re planning to go on a trip soon, it might be best to avoid some of these cities. In 2015, they were ranked among the world’s most dangerous places on the basis of murders per city.
Caracas, Venezuela, made the top of the list, with 119.87 murders per 100,000, according to World Atlas. It is an improvement from the last owner of this place, San Pedro Sula in Honduras, which formerly held top place with 171.2 murders per 100,000 people, now dropped to 113.03. However, the rate is still worryingly high, in comparison to the most violent cities in many other countries.

Meanwhile, Europe seems to be the safest continent in the world, but there are certain cities that one should be careful about when visiting. The least safe city in Europe is Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.
Crime statistics suggest that poverty and murder prevalence might be connected, as some of the world’s most dangerous places are located within countries disturbed by political turbulence, corruption and low standards of living. Hopefully, the murder rates will decline soon.
