Want healthy hair? You should start with your scalp, and this salon offers the perfect treatment
Do you happen to struggle with split ends or generally are dissatisfied with the health and looks of your hair? According to a hair expert, you should focus on your scalp first.
Holistic haircare expert Aveda considers that a healthy scalp will automatically lead to healthy hair, so the brand has launched an in-salon scalp facial treatment and a series of at home products that give follicles a thorough clean.
“The scalp is just an extension of our skin, so we need to start paying more attention to it. Like the skin, the scalp needs to be deeply cleansed to remove build-up that will naturally occur, so adding on the Aveda in-salon Scalp Facial treatment to your regular cut and blow-dry, and then using the new Aveda Pramasana scalp care products at home, will mean your scalp will be in optimum health and thus your hair will never look and feel better,” says Michael Lendon, advanced master creative director at Aveda.
The treatment offered by the salon consists of an invigorating dry brush massage with an exfoliating scalp brush, followed by an application of a scalp cleanser.
The following step is shampooing, and a nourishing scalp masque is left in to work. The final step of the treatment is a protective scalp concentrate, that prevents future damage to the roots.
