Elon Musk posts first image with Tesla’s electric semi truck
Elon Musk revealed on Twitter what Tesla’s first electric truck will look like, with the vehicle having a September release, ZDNet reports.
The Tesla CEO wrote on Twitter that the new electric truck will “deliver a substantial reduction in the cost of cargo transport, while increasing safety and making it really fun to operate.”
The reference to safety and operation might be linked to a technology related to the current Autopilot, which is present at the moment on the Model S, Model X and will also be available on the future Model 3.

Although it does not offer full autonomous driving, the Autopilot technology assists drivers with parking and insures automatic driving on highways.
Musk said on Friday that a perfectly functional prototype of Tesla Semi already exists and that „it feels like a sports car”. Due to the fact that it’s electric, it can instantly and powerfully accelerate.
Musk confirmed that this truck model will be capable of driving long distances in the future.
