Construction firm submits proposal for Trump wall. The project is a one-way sheet of plexiglass

As the Trump administration is currently reviewing the design bids for the project of the Trump wall at the border with Mexico, one such project stands out through its one-way sheet of plexiglass.

PennaGroup, a construction firm in Fort Worth, Texas, proposed for the border wall a project based on wire and plexiglass that would resemble a one-way mirror. This means that the US side would be able to see through the wall, while the Mexico side wouldn’t.

According to PennaGroup, the company interviewed US Border Patrol agents in an effort of understanding their jobs and what features they would want for a wall. Therefore, they used this information so as to adapt the design of the construction, adding mechanised doors for vehicles and making it hard to climb, tunnel under, or tamper with, besides increasing its height and adding the ability to drain rainwater.

The idea is one of the more serious designs, as other companies mocked the design by offering proposals like a wall made of 10 million pipe organs.
