Donald Trump is getting ready for this 71st birthday. He is the oldest American president to serve its first term but if his previous birthday parties are anything to go by, the president is expected to have quite a lavish bash to mark this milestone.
Donald Trump is about the celebrate his first birthday since becoming president and speculation has already started about how the new White House occupant will celebrate this milestone especially since he is famous for loving lavish parties with over the top performances.
To have an indication of what could be expected for his 71st birthday, the Washington Post made a summary of former parties that made their way to the first pages of tabloid papers.
For his 42nd birthday, the mogul had a “15-foot spaceship zooming from the stage to hover amid smoke and flashing lasers above the birthday boy and his wife Ivana” at one of his casinos. The party also featured a rendering of “Bad”, reinterpreted to honor Trump, magicians, and dancers.
Trump also receive then a telegram from President Ronald Reagan.
When he celebrated his 50th birthday, Donald Trump had a “chocolate cake decorated with icing images of all of Trump’s buildings and a sugar figure of Don, dressed like Superman with a money sign on its chest,” according to the same sources.
Donald Trump spent his 59th birthday at the Taj Mahal Casino with Pamela Anderson giving an iconic performance.
Given the restrictions imposed by his new position, this year’s party could be less lavish and extravagant.
The president is expected to spend at least some part of his birthday with the First Lady and their son, especially as they just moved to the White House. Other family members are expected to join the First couple.
There are also reports that protests could be organized both in New York, outside Trump Tower and in Washington by groups opposing the president.
