Opinion: Russia is the real winner
If you haven’t heard about “The Russia thing” I want your Facebook wall because ever since Donald Trump won the presidency it is the only thing the left has been holding onto for dear life, but to update you basically the FBI has been investigating the involvement of the Russian government (namely Vladimir Putin) in the 2016 Presidential election.
Today former FBI Director James Comey gave a testimony to Congress and a little bit more about the investigation came to light. This is not about James Comey’s testimony however, I am not going to report that he was incredibly unbiased with a few jabs to the right as well as to the left every article uploaded in the last 24 hours has been about that. No this is about how Vladimir Putin is probably skipping down the halls of The Kremlin.
Power is a complicated thing, especially for those who don’t even attempt to understand it, one man who understands power is Vladimir Putin and he understands how much power he has been gaining during all of this frenzy in the Federal Government. While Democrats and Republicans fight to make this as big of a scandal as possible and the Media cover it like it’s Water Gate they are completely missing the bigger picture and they have missed the biggest headline, the President of The United States is no longer the most powerful man in the world, the American media and his political colleagues have stripped him of that and unknowingly handed the title to Vladimir Putin.
Let’s flip the script and imagine this was reversed, American officials have hacked the Russian elections and have attempted to infiltrate the way Russians vote. This would not have been a headline in Russia arguably because of the lack of a free press but most importantly because if voters knew that had happened, if Vladimir Putin’s win would have been taken from him he would have handled it discreetly because his power cannot be questioned or tested not because of his obvious ego but because he represents Russia on the world stage and if his power is questioned that means Russia’s power is questioned and he is not in government to lose power.
Obviously, there is nothing that can be done at this point, the power is lost, this round is won. Hopefully one day our country will evolve and gain stronger leadership, this is most definitely meant as an insult to the members of our political playing field currently, the lack of understanding that they have for what their jobs are is astounding.
In case it has been lost on anyone reading this the world is pretty consistently on the brink of war, always, it has to be it’s part of the way that it works if it’s not North Korea, it’s the Middle East, if it’s not the Middle East it’s Russia we have had the same villains for like 3 decades (with a few guest stars Vietnam etc) but America has always been the force that has sustained our status of “on the brink” and not “ in WW3” but what happens if our leadership continues giving our villains more of our power? That is hopefully a question that is never answered.
