Evergreen State College taken over by radical Leftists

For the past week, since 9:30am on the 23rd of May, students with extreme Left-wing political views have taken over key administrative buildings in Evergreen State College.

The occupiers have been filmed chanting “black power” as well as calling for white people to be removed from the school. They have demanded that white teachers must step down and leave, and according to professor Bret Weinstein they have used the threat of violence.

The university’s Principal, George Bridges, rather than punishing them or seeking to end the anarchy – has instead thanked them and told them that their passion and courage is inspirational. He has also ordered the Campus Police to stand down, which makes it much harder for the situation to be dealt with.

This is another step in a series of increasingly worse incidents at US universities, ranging from conservative speakers being banned from making speeches to out-right violent protests as seen at UC Berkeley.

Left-wing and particularly Marxist ideologues have long featured in universities, and their prominence in the West can likely be traced to the end of the second World War, where many with communist sympathies from Eastern Europe fled to nations such as the USA, UK and Canada.

The ‘revolutionary’ student’s claim that whites must be removed due to their ‘racism’, and that certain of the white faculty had been teaching ‘hate speech’ and ‘white supremacy’ which is what prompted the take-over.

It should be noted here that even in the so-called Dark Ages, Universities were places where, in nations that were otherwise ‘un-free’ and where one did not have laws protecting their entitlement to belief or speech – it was perfectly acceptable to discuss social taboos.

Universities were one of the few places where the discussion of heresies was permitted, and their conclusions were to be respected by the political and religious leaders. It should be greatly discomforting to realise that today, well over one-thousand years later, we are now no longer able to discuss the heresies of our time; violence, intimidation, censorship and physical removal are now the methods of discourse.

This is of course assuming that any racist speech has actually taken place which Bret Weinstein, one of the professors who has been told to leave, insists is untrue.
