There have been rumblings of unhappiness amongst the American people since the moment Donald Trump was named the 45th President, but it appears that following his withdrawal from the Paris Accord the Rebellion has truly begun.
Since the moment Donald Trump was sworn in as US President a lot of high profile figures have been very active in voicing their concerns, and many have openly opposed him, but nothing of this scale has been seen yet.
Less than 24 hours after Donald Trump declared he was withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Change Agreement, he has faced high levels of opposition, and now former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomburg has entered the arena.

Bloomberg, who served as mayor from 2002 until 2013 and was a possible presidential candidate for the 2008 and 2012 elections, has claimed that he will personally pay America’s $15 million contribution to the Paris Accord to help fight climate change.
Speaking to the Washington Examiner Mr. Bloomberg said that “Americans will honour and fulfil the Paris agreement by leading from the bottom up — and there isn’t anything Washington can do to stop us.”
This comes after Economic advisers Elon Musk and Bob Iger both resigned their posts after Trump’s decision.
Reactions from World Leaders have been just as negative. Amongst the most vocal were German Chancellor Angela Merkel who claimed she was being polite in calling Trump’s decision “extremely regrettable” and French President Emmanuel Macron who went so far as to invite scientific Americans to move to France and help fight Climate Change.
On top of this a so far unnamed group, consisting of over 100 US Mayors, Governors and University Presidents, along with over 100 businesses are apparently already negotiating with the United Nations to uphold their responsibilities for the Paris Accord.
Former Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger also posted a now viral video within hours of Trump’s decision calling the American people to fight the decision.
No official response has been issued yet by the White House regarding this new resistance, but with the profile it is achieving there has to be a statement soon.
