Two more teenagers have been assaulted in what appears to be a further acid attack in London. Reports have confirmed that the two teenage victims received medical attention at the scene and were later taken to hospital.
Two teenagers have been attacked in what appears to be a further acid attack in central London. Last night at approximately 7 pm two male teenagers were doused in a liquid that began to burn their faces and torsos.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the victims were heard screaming and asking for help as the skin began to peal from their faces. Other witnesses advised that the victims were seen flagging down police, who were passing the scene at approximately 7 pm. Video footage has appeared online showing the two victims having water poured over their acid burs, by paramedics, who attended the scene.
A local resident Jamie Austen, told the Evening Standard, that she saw tarpaulin and red tape, at the scene, after the victims had been taken to a nearby East London Hospital. The witness also advised that they felt fearful to leave their home.
This comes just just a short time after a spate of 5 similar acid attacks occurred, on the 13th July, in the space of 90 minutes. This epidemic of acid attacks is becoming worryingly prevalent within the country’s capital.
