Two dead, six hospitalized in Finish stabbing terrorist attack – UPDATE
Several people have been stabbed in the Finish city of Turku, the national police informed on Twitter. Officials also say that one person has been arrested.

Finnish police are investigating Friday’s knife attacks that killed two and wounded eight in the city of Turku as crimes related to terrorism, they said on Saturday.
The suspect was an 18-year Moroccan, police added. The two people killed were Finns and an Italian and two Swedish citizens were among the injured.
UPDATE: Six people are hospitalized and are receiving medical treatment after being stabbed, authorities reported.
UPDATE: Authorities are looking at only one suspect, already in custody, and they still do not know the motives behind the attack. It is not clear whether is terror related.

UPDATE: Local hospital authorities have confirmed that one person died and at least eight others were injured in the attack.
UPDATE: “The government is closely following the events in Turku and the ongoing police operation. The government will meet later today,” Prime Minister Juha Sipila wrote on his Twitter account.
UPDATE: Citing sources, Finish media reports six injured, five of them females. No official statements has been released by local authorities but social media posts show at leas one dead at the scene of the attack.
Media also reports that attacker was shoot in the leg before being arrested by law enforcement agents.
UPDATE: The police evacuated the town center and citizens are asked to avoid the area. An unverified video posted on social media shows people running away form what seems to be the place of the attack.

UPDATE: Extra security measures at Helsinki airport and on public transportation, in the aftermath of the Turku attack, the police announced.
UPDATE: The attack took place in a central area of the town. Finnish press reports that seven were injured.

People should stay away from the city centre, police said on their Twitter account.
The Turun Sanomat newspaper reported that at least one person was killed in the attack.
