Heat wave in parts of Europe kills 2 people
Heat wave is different parts of Europe killed at least 2 people .
For several days this week, the heat wave has caused at least two deaths, and scientists are warning that a dangerous heatwave nicknamed Lucifer will put lives at risk in some parts of Europe.
Authorities in Southern and Central European countries have issued extreme heat warnings to residents and tourists. It has issued red alerts in parts of Italy,Switzerland, Croatia and Poland.
Romania reported two deaths related to the heatwave. In the Northeast a 45 years old man died, while in Eastern part a 60 years old man died of heart attack.
Spain’s national weather service issued a warning that temperatures in 31 provinces is expected to go up to 44 Celsius. Italian authorities have issued severe weather warnings for over twenty cities including Rome.
The heat has caused wildfires , damaged crops and strained water supplies in Italy, Spain, France and Croatia. In Albania alone 15 wildfires have been reported. Experts have warned farmers that the intense heat will have an impact on crops as well.
In contrast to Southern and Central Europe, weather is wetter and colder in Western and Northern European countries.
