Police say fired single shot in Berlin hospital, injuring one
A single shot was fired by a police officer in a Berlin hospital on Thursday, and the person struck was injured, a police spokesman said, without providing further details.
Broadcaster RBB reported on Twitter that police had sealed off a wide area around the hospital, which is located in the Kreuzberg district of Germany’s capital.
The city had experienced in the past years attacks in the emergency rooms of various clinics, so the staff of the clinic in Kreuzberg underwent training for such situations.

The man supposedly threatened with a gun a policeman in the parking lot of the hospital. Despite repeated requests, the man did not stop his assault, so a colleague of the policeman shot the perpetrator in the leg.
