Giant green ”landscraper” revealed for Google London HQ
Google has revealed plans for its new London headquarters, and the giant green ”landscraper” is nothing short of amazing.
The huge office building, dubbed s a ”landscraper” was designed by the architecture studios of Thomas Heatherwick and Bjarke Ingels, and has a length longer that the Shard is toll. In addition, it has plenty of greenery and energy-efficient systems, such as smart solar blinds and solar panels on the rooftop.
Employees will also have access to a wellness centre that will include gyms, a swimming pool, a multipurpose sports centre as well as a garden on the rooftop, cafes and various lookout points.
The ”landscraper” is one of the three buildings that are going to be part of a campus hosting up to 7,000 employees, and construction is expected to begin in 2018.
