Millions of employees around the world are required to stand up on their feet for five or more hours a day at work. Some have little break time, and some may not even take a break at all.

Standing all day at work, sitting for long periods of time, constant bending and twisting of the wrists, and lifting can cause long-term musculoskeletal disorders. Types of musculoskeletal disorders include bunions and corns on the feet, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and tension neck syndrome. It is important that when you are standing, you are constantly checking in with your body and posture, realigning your positioning, and wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. If you do not take these precautions, your body will suffer in the long run.
