Indulging in wine and chocolate could help you lose weight
A recent study revealed a crucial ingredient in certain foods that can help trim the waist.
Looking to shed a couple pounds? Based on scientific studies, a sirtfood diet just may be the answer you are looking for.
Authors and nutritionists, Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten, who obtained their master’s degrees in nutritional medicine, went on to construct a book in 2016 titled: The Sirtfood Diet, which in detail lay out the foods that can aide in the quest to your weight-loss.
Sirtfoods work by mobilizing proteins in the body called sirtuins. Study suggests that sirtuins can modulate organic processes within the body such as anti-inflammatory responses, cellular health and overall all protection of the body’s well-being.
In a study, Goggins and Matten started a new system on 40 people. It initiated with three days of juices composed of sirtuin-rich additives such as celery, kale, parsley, matcha tea and a sirt meal, pursued with a couple more days of two juices and two sirt meals.
The results of the study were astonishing at best. Clients reported the weight as “melting away”.
“Clients were also increasing their muscle mass, which wouldn’t usually happen on a plant-based diet. Most weight-loss regimes falter because people lose muscle as well as fat, and if they do lose weight they end up looking gaunt. But with this regime they were toning up, even without exercise,” says Louise France of The London Times.
Louise France, who happened to meet the chef who prepared the sirtfood meals stated that many clients reported that their portion sizes were to large. “It turns out sirtfoods both fill you up and suppress your appetite,” says Louise France.
Furthermore, not only were people shedding weight under the sirt-food food regime diet plan, they were putting on muscle as well.
If you were to search your cabinet, you may come across that chocolate bar you once thought was an enemy to your weight-loss journey. Guess what? Chocolate is also part of the sirt-food diet pyramid. Long as it contains at least 85% cocoa solids, it can be added to your sirt-food diet regime.
Oh and by the way, wine is also included in the sirt-food pyramid.
So when Valentine’s Day swing around, just ask your significant other to make sure that the strawberries dipped in chocolate contains at least 85% cocoa solids. If that is not feasible, the wine will do. Some sirt-food (drinks included) is better than no sirt-food.
Everything must be done in moderation, this is no excuse to indulge in exorbitant amounts of wine.
