Tesla has Eastern Europe and Turkey in its sights with new Superchargers
Tesla recently announced its making charging a number one priority, and a map of Superchargers targeted to open soon in Eastern Europe has been updated by the U.S. company.
Countries like Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Moldova will have their first Superchargers, according to Tesla plans. Although opening dates are yet to be confirmed by the U.S. company and exact timing and specific location may vary, the trend is clearly visible.
Turkey will also have ten Superchargers, the first, while Tesla also announced new Superchergers in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Five all new Superchargers will also be available, sometime in the future, in Russia, according to Tesla’s map.
Tesla is not ignoring the western European countries, announcing 14 Superchargers in Spain and the UK, with others in Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland.
In an update regarding its plans for 2017, Tesla noted that it’s “making charging an even greater priority.” As such, the Supercharger network energized back in 2012 and which currently features over 5,400 Superchargers, will be expanded to over 10,000 Superchargers by the end of the year.
