1.5 million Brits are watching porn on their work devices
According to new research, 1.5 million Brits admit to using their work smartphones, tablets or laptops for “out-of-work” activities.
Mobile phone insurer Insurance2go polled the nation in order to find what they used their work devices for. Besides watching porn, 1.3 million Brits also sext from their work phones. Furthermore, around 850,000 Brits take, store and send nudes on their work phones. However, everything pales in comparison to the 2.3 million people who have used their devices to cheat on their partners.
The most promiscuous workers are based in Scotland, as one in 10 of Glaswegians owning a work phone say they use it to send explicit texts, according to Metro UK. Meanwhile, Edinburgh has the highest rate of adultery, with 11% of people using their work devices to cheat on their partner.

“These days it’s no shock that the nation likes to have a quick browse of their social media feed from their work device, but some of these other activities are definitely questionable!” says Gary Beeston, Sales & Marketing Director at Insurance2Go. “Perhaps this won’t be a big deal to many managers, but aside from the risky nature of the activities people are conducting, there’s also the worry around the cyber security of employees’ devices due to dodgy website surfing, so it’s something that might need addressing.”
