A video with a couple just became viral because people misunderstood what was going on because the video was shortened from the original one and this version looks pretty bad out of context.

How would you react if you saw a video of a girl falling off a cliff, trying to grab her boyfriend’s leg to save herself, only to have him pull back? You’d be outraged, right? Well, you won’t be the only one either.

According to indianexpress.com, a short video of a couple’s tombstoning gone wrong has been doing the rounds of the Internet now. The video shows the girlfriend suddenly slipping and reaching out to her boyfriend’s ankle for support, only to have him pull back!

The guy pulled away his leg and the girl had nothing to hold onto and is seen falling off the edge and disappearing, both in the video and by the guy with a stone for a heart! The viral video, which was reportedly initially shared on Reddit and then picked up by other sites, has garnered absolute hate for the guy.

Many said the jump could have been potentially fatal. “Soooo dangerous. You gotta commit to the jump,” one said, while another thought it would have been “safer to push her further out than try and stop her from falling”. One user was pretty matter of fact, saying: “Well, he did neither actually. He took the leg away, so he wouldn’t get pulled with her and so gave her the worst fall possible.”

Well, as it happens, the concern – though appreciated, we’re sure, was not really needed. The clip is actually from a music video ‘Summer’ by Jay Alvarezz that was released in 2015! Alvarezz is a Latin Grammy award nominated singer from Puerto Rico. The video shows the couple going through a series of jumps, and this was just one of them that someone shared separately, and that has suddenly gone viral.

Most people on the Internet have been busy having a debate whether the guy’s reaction was downright insensitive or a reflex.

A lot of people agree that this was a reflex reaction the guy elicited, many have dissed the guy for letting her fall off like that and some have even called called the video boring! In the midst of all this, some sane minds who had fact checked about the video, decided to speak sense to the largely enraged people.
