VIDEO: Baby Born Dead After Pregnant Mom is Shot. But Suddenly the Doctors…

Some people think that miracles can’t happen and that they are impossible but every now and again one happens right in front of us. Especially in hospitals is where these take place when doctors manage to bring people back from the dead by trying their hardest and praying that it will work. It’s hard especially when we’re talking about babies because you feel a lot worse when a baby that didn’t even become a full person, a child that has done nothing wrong is about to die. If you lose a baby’s life you feel horrible and you keep thinking about what you could have done differently and if you could have saved that child’s life. It’s also incredibly hard for doctors when they have to choose between the life of the mother and the life of the child.
Instead of risking to lose both of them, a decision has to be made and to at least try to save one of them. In these moments, any wrong call can mean that two people die. Sometimes the choice was made beforehand, as in this case when the pregnant mother was shot and died. The doctors wanted to save the child, but unfortunately the child was born dead. But the doctors didn’t give up on the child and tried their best to bring it back to life.
According to insideedition.com, a pregnant mother was shot to death in California early Friday, but doctors were able to save her unborn child.
Vanessa Oviedo, 27, who was 35-weeks pregnant, was shot in the head in what police are calling a “targeted” drive-by shooting while at an intersection in Visalia, California.

“The vehicle actually pulled up on the left-hand side into opposing traffic and stopped,” Lt. Brian Winter with the Visalia Police Department said. “Which is another reason that we believe probably the incident was targeted.”
Oviedo was in the car with four other people, including the driver 23-year-old Andrew Aguirre, two other men and a one-year-old child in a car seat, when the shooting occurred, according to reports.
Police said both vehicles left the scene and the victims drove to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where doctors delivered Oviedo’s baby by emergency C-section.
The child was reportedly born premature but is healthy.

Oviedo was looking forward to meeting her new baby boy, according to a Facebook post. The child was Oviedo’s fourth.
Police said they are still investigating the shooting.
“Any incident like this in our community is terrible to have to deal with, but even more so when it involves in this case, two children,” Winter said.

Oviedo’s family has started a GoFundMe to help with burial costs. And everyone is welcomed to give them as much money as they possibly can. We hope that the miracle child will have a good life even though he was separated from his mother and will never get to meet her.
