VIDEO: Villagers Cut Open Crocodile to Make Shocking Discovery Inside!
When a young boy suddenly disappeared from a village from Zimbabwe, everyone was really worried. If the disappearance of a boy is serious and upsetting usually, it was even worse this time considering that in the area a huge crocodile had been spotted. That’s why the villagers immediately put the two and two together.
Villagers have been filmed cutting open a crocodile and finding the remains of an eight-year-old boy. According to the mirror.co.uk, locals shot dead the crocodile suspecting it had killed and eaten the young boy.
Their worst fears were confirmed when they cut open the huge beast’s stomach. The scene was captured by an eyewitness with a smartphone in the village of Mushumbi Pools in northern Zimbabwe’s Mashonaland Central Province.
The remains of the boy, whose name has not been revealed, were removed from the crocodile and buried two days later in a village funeral.
The grisly images show men slitting open the crocodile, pulling human body parts from its belly and placing them on a gray blanket next to the dead animal.
Villagers and a local policeman can be seen silently watching the grim operation in the background. Local reporter Simbarashe Sithole said: “The crocodile was shot and was then cut open. The boy’s remains were found in the beast’s stomach.”
Zimbabwe has recently been hit by heavy rain, raising river and dam levels. It can bring crocodiles to areas where they are not normally seen.
It seems that this isn’t even the first instance in which drawn to the shore because of the heavy rain, crocodiles have ended up attacking people. The same thing happened in Beatrice.
A crocodile was recently shot dead in Beatrice, a farming community in the province of Mashonaland East. What were believed to be the remains of a fisherman were found in its stomach.
Crocodiles are huge and scary predators that you can’t help but run away from when you see one. While some still think that they might be OK as pets if you take them from a young age and try to raise them a certain way, truth is they are still wild and dangerous animals.
Some people have tried to keep them close to their house as pets and even though they have had them for many years and they have created a nice living environment for them, the animals still tried to escape and ended up roaming the streets and hurting people in the process. Not only do crocodiles belong in the wild, but they should also be as far away from humans as possible.
Those that live in areas where crocodiles are common should be extra careful in the times when there is heavy rain and the levels of lakes and such things rise over the normal level.
Make sure that you take all the necessary precautions and that you take care of yourself. Children should not be left unsupervised at any cost and should always be in the presence of at least one adult.
