VIDEO: This little girl does an amazing rendition of Reba McEntire’s “Fancy”

Nicknamed ”The Queen of Country”, Reba McEntire is one of the most successful artists to have emerged from the genre. Born in 1955 in McAlester, Oklahoma, Reba taught herself how to play the guitar while she was still at a young age, and she formed a vocal group alongside her siblings called the “Singing McEntires”. Reba’s part in the group was playing the guitar and writing all the songs, and the group eventually started singing at rodeos and also recorded “The Ballad of John McEntire” together.

In her teenage years, Reba was singing locally when she was not attending school, so she was eventually hired to perform the national anthem at the National Rodeo in Oklahoma City, where country artist Red Steagall, also a performer in that day, noticed her incredible vocal talents. Upon realizing her potential, Steagall agreed to help Reba launch a country-music career in Nashville, Tennessee, and from that moment on, Reba’s career slowly took off and her songs would eventually reach millions of people and transmit powerful emotions.

However, her start in music was rather rough. During her early years, when Reba was working with Mercury Records, her singles and her albums repeatedly failed to chart according to the expectations on the Billboard country music chart. It took her four years until she finally managed to crack the top 10 with a single, and another year until one of her albums would make it into the top 10. Once the ice was cracked, though, Reba started releasing commercially successful tracks one after another, including a 1990 cover of the 1969 classic by Bobbie Gentry, a track titled ”Fancy”. The track became a Billboard Top 10 hit and has such a classical feeling to it, that plenty of people were touched by it.

This song turned out to be the perfect backdrop for this little girl to showcase her singing talent and cuteness, as the track started playing while the little girl was in the car with her mother and her brother. The track slowly builds up, and the little girl sings the lyrics on a more muted down performance, but 45 seconds into the video, she burst with all the passion she can display on this song.

It is absolutely astonishing to see how this little girl managed to successfully memorize all the lyrics to this song, and she definitely shows some true talents that only a diva with a lot of potential can display.

The little girl not only shows a lot of talent, but her passion and the way that she manages to belt out the lyrics to the famous songs might even lead her one day to having a successful career in music and nobody can predict whether one day she will be such a prominent figure in music that she will share the stage alongside the singer whose fan she turned out to be, Reba McEntire herself.

We can only hope that the adorable little girl continues to cultivate her talent and that her mother will upload a new video of her child singing a country classic.
