VIDEO: Keith Urban Amazed by Young Girl’s Talent

14 year old Hailey Benedict has been eagerly waiting for her big break. She sings, she plays guitar, she writes her own songs and she loves performing in front of people. She has everything it takes to make it in the industry and have tremendous success. She only needed that tiny door to get in.

One of her favorite artists is Keith Urban and two days before going to see him live in concert she posted this on Facebook: “I’ll be heading to the new ROGERS PLACE stadium to see Keith perform on Friday! I’m beyond excited for this and would LOVE if you could help SHARE my video and TAG Keith in the hopes that he might see it in time for his concert!”
Of course, as it was most likely, Urban did not see the girl’s cover, but something almost incredible still happened for her the night of the concert.

As Keith was performing, he noticed Hailey and her sister in the crowd and something, somehow told him to bring them up on stage. When he asked Hailey what her dream job would be, she promptly responded: “Singer and songwriter!” The country musician then asked for a guitar and the girl got to show him one of her original songs, leaving everyone in awe.

She wrote about the experience in the following Facebook status: “All I can say is what a night. Never, ever in my wildest dreams would I have ever expected this to happen. I am absolutely overwhelmed with everyone’s support, gratitude and love. Last night was the very best night of my life. I have always dreamed what it would be like to perform in front of a huge crowd singing my very own song and last night that dream came true in the biggest way possible. Keith Urban pulled my sister and I up on stage and he gave me the chance to sing my own song at the brand new ROGERS PLACE in front of more than 20,000 people!!! THANK YOU so much Keith for giving me this amazing opportunity for myself and my sister. And thank you so much for the personal shoutout on all of your media pages too! This is overwhelming, but it honestly means the world to me. I am still in complete shock. I am sure it will take some time to soak this all in and even respond to people, but I just want everyone to know that I am so thankful and appreciative of all your support and love!!! This is the very best day of my life! Thank you Keith Urban! You made my dreams come true last night and I will never, ever forget it!!! I LOVE YOU!!!”

Keith himself posted the video of Hailey’s performance, writing “I wanna say a HUGE THANK U to Hailey Benedict who blew us away tonite!!!!”

Hailey’s mom, just as excited as her daughter, commented: “HOLY COW!!!!!! This is insane!!!! I am seriously dying and in shock seeing this as we drive home from one of the single best nights of our lives!!! Keith Urban… You are such an inspiration to my girl as an aspiring singer/songrwriter… My girls came back to their seats in the happiest tears. I will never forget this as long as I life. You have not only made their night, but have made one of Hailey’s dreams come true… THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF THIS MAMA’S HEART!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!”
