While spelling these words, I have goosebumps. I just imagined myself in a cage my entire life, being banned from freedom. In this mad world, we are living in, animals suffer. And they suffer because of the cruelty of humans. The saddest thing about animals is that they don’t have the possibility to defend themselves as much as humans do. They are taken for granted, as a property, as something without a soul, without identity, as something you just use when you need, then you throw it away. This poor bull regained his freedom after too many years in prison. Just imagine the effect this might have on a human being. It is nothing different when we talk about animals. The reaction of this animal when he was released from that hell is beyond words. His happiness and joy were so easily seen. Beyond that, this gratitude to the man that saved him is enormous. My heart melted in the moment when he sat next to the man who saved him and put his head next to his. Also, for the man, must have been incredible knowing that he just saved a poor soul who has no guilt for the life is was forced to live. That image was perfection. That was the perfect bond between human and animal. Seeing this powerful images, I can only hope that this world still has the power to change the bad things into good ones. I still hope that one day, animals will be treated indeed like animals, not like human’s toys. I hope that this video will be enough for us, humans, to understand that we do not have the power to cage those free souls; animals are born as free as humans. Because of this man’s kindness, Bandit now has the possibility to have a happy life, far away from the pain and suffering. Why not admit it, sometimes I feel more pity for animals than humans. Animals do not harm intentionally, they harm because it’s in their nature to react aggressively. But humans have the power of decision, the power to think. So, please, think twice before hurting a poor soul. Animals must be protected, not harmed. Also, it is important to know that Bandit is not a singular case. Like him, there are many other animals in pain, who wait for a salvation. But if we do not have the power to save, we definitely have the power not to harm. Also, this poor soul’s story helped me understand that even if his whole life was ruined, the moment when he received the chance to start a new one, he accepted it, without thinking about the wounds. Maybe sometimes we have a lot to learn from animals. They are on this Earth with us to show us love and offer us friendship. Let’s not disappoint them.
