VIDEO: We Need More People Like Her!

Even though nurses do not get the same recognition as doctors, we can all agree that their care plays a big part in the recovery process, some of them going above and beyond for their patients. Isabelle is the perfect example of such a nurse. She was taking care of “Grandma Helen” and would sing to her on Fridays. When the woman’s health started getting worse and it didn’t look like she had much time left, Isabelle decided to come in to see Helen on her day off and sing to her. This candid moment will leave you in tears!
Every day, across the world people die in hospice care. For many of the people who are dying, the health care workers from these facilities are the only people that they are close to in their final moments. Nurse aid Isabelle sang every Friday to Grandma Helen for as long as she was in hospice care. When she heard that Grandma Helen was going to pass away, Isabelle decided to stop by on her day off to see her again and to sing to her for the last time. A family member said that “We are all in awe of her voice and caring spirit” according to reshareworthy.com. Grandma Helen passed away within a couple of days of this video being recorded.
The family shared the video as a way of thanking the many compassionate health care workers who go unrecognized. They wrote, “The daily compassion of unknown numbers of good health care workers goes unnoticed by many. Thank you for the gifts you share and the love for patients you bestow.”
They added, “Thank you, Isabelle, for being a comforting voice in our family. Best wishes to you and the staff at Life Care in Seneca, KS. Rest in Peace Grandma Helen. We love you.”
Compassionate people like Isabelle make the world a better place. And any type of gesture of kindness, no matter how big or small, can make a difference for someone who doesn’t have much to live. Some people say that we are alone in death and in our final moments, most of us will be these way even though we were surrounded by friends and family in life.
But it doesn’t have to be this way and everyone is capable of taking a couple of hours of their time to make sure that they help someone and that they don’t leave them alone to face death.
When they know that they are going to die, a lot of people are afraid and start contemplating whether or not they have done enough good in their life and if they are worthy of entering the kingdom of Heaven. Suddenly, every good deed doesn’t seem enough and they are terrified of the fact that they might not have been as good as they have thought and that they might end up in hell.
This is why they need someone to comfort them and remind them of good times and ease their pain.
