He said, “Always pray, never lose heart” (Luke 18:1). And He also said to converse with God day and night (Luke 18:7). When He taught His disciples to pray, He told them to ask God for their daily needs (Luke 11:3).
He didn’t focus on just preaching He also did what he said and Jesus set an example of daily prayer by praying during all kinds of circumstances, even the more dire ones: He prayed at His baptism, He prayed as He faced His passion and on the cross. Jesus prayed while He was in agony, He prayed all the more earnestly, He prayed during sad times, like at the tomb of His friend Lazarus. He prayed all night before He chose His disciples and He prayed when He broke bread and gave it to others to eat.
Jesus made it a priority to always pray. “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed” or He sent the crowds away and “went up on a mountainside by Himself to pray”. We also read that Jesus rose “very early in the morning” and “went off to a solitary place where He prayed”. The Bible tells us to pray on all occasions, making our requests known to God. Scripture tells us to pray without stopping. It tells us never to worry about anything, and to thank God for what He has already provided.

Jesus taught His followers to say a simple daily prayer. You may know it by heart already as “The Lord’s Prayer,” but it will become more meaningful to you if you take time to think about what each phrase means.
This is the prayer that all of us know by heart even from when we are really little and while we might learn a bunch of prayers in time, this one seems to have a particular appeal to all of us during our entire lives.
This one has a great meaning and encompasses everything that we need to tell the Lord and everything that we need in life. Even if you say just this one every single day of your life it would be fine, but it would be even better to say as many prayers as you can. All you have to do is believe and pray as much as you can. Some think that prayer is only done in the evening before you can go to bed, but you can actually pray any time of day and night and it would be great if you would do it.
