Mark Alan Lowry, who was born in 1958, is a Christian singer, comedian, and songwriter. He is known for co-writing the song “Mary, Did You Know?” and being a member of the Gaither Vocal Band along with Michael English, David Phelps and Bill Gaither. Lowry has recorded twelve albums, both music, and comedy.
According to wikipedia.org, he often uses anecdotes of his young life in his comedy, as well as speaking of his experience with hyperactivity and Attention Deficit Disorder in his performances. Lowry is a self-described “Poster Boy for Hyperactivity”. He was never married and doesn’t have any kids of his own, just nieces and nephews, and he spends his time spreading the word of God in all forms.

Christianity is a very important part of his life so he decided to share a story with the audience about the time when he was having a nice barbecue with his friends and he got to meet an atheist.
Sure, he makes fun of it and says that he closed the doors and the windows and jumped on his friend’s friend to make sure she doesn’t run away so he could talk to her about God.
He was shocked when he learned that the woman didn’t believe in God and he wanted to find out why that was and how she couldn’t believe in something that was so obvious. He explains that there are so many amazing things in the world and that the universe is so amazing and so enormous that there is just no way God wouldn’t exist.
Every person is completely unique and everything in the world is unique so there is just no way that God isn’t real because without Him none of these things would be possible, not even us. So how can you not believe in God?
We don’t get to find out whether or not he managed to convince the atheist woman that God was indeed real, but the way in which he tells the story is both funny and interesting as well as incredibly uplifting.
With the use of some comedy, this man manages to make us think about everything and about how the world works and how nothing could ever be possible without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Father.
