Horse Found in Deplorable State
A poor horse was found in a shocking state after it had been abandoned in the field.
When will we understand that animals are not ours to play with and torture?!

According to heroviral.com, last February, Polly the five-year-old mare, was found extremely malnourished, alongside two other horses, all abandoned in a field near Buckinghamshire, England. The local animal workers started to call it the worst case of horse neglect that they had ever encountered.
The RSPCA was on the case, though. Two of the horses were unfortunately so starving that they had to be put down by the rescue. It seemed that they would have to put down Polly, too.
Polly was rescued by volunteers from the World Horse Trust, and she weighed half of what a horse of her size should have weighed, at seven hundred pounds.
But then a miracle occurred. Polly survived. It was a slow improvement. Her food had to be limited so she could handle it, and she had to be isolated due to her trauma. She gained and lost weight, her vitals (temperature, heart rate, and respiration rates) were abnormal, and she had rain scald and dermatitis, minor conditions compared to the rest of her problems.

But everyone involved was truly a fighter. By that summer, Polly was much more healthy, and her personality began to blossom. Six months after being rescued, she’d gained three hundred and thirty pounds.
She was finally allowed to join the rest of the rescue’s herd, running free with them at the rescue.
Her treatment is far from over, but Polly has had a miraculous new beginning. She looks forward to a healthy and happy life, much better than the neglect and horrible start to life that she endured.
