Stray Dog Found with a 4 Lbs Mass on Its Neck
When she was found, Agnes had been wandering the streets of Karditsa, Greece, for 6 months with a massive growth on her neck.
Thanks to some kind hearted people, she is now living a happy, healthy life.
According to heroviral.com, the UK-based charity, Greek Animal Rescue (GAR), was founded in 1989 and works to help the stray, injured, abused, and neglected animals in Greece. The animals they help rescue often find homes in EU countries and in the UK. GAR works with other animal shelters to get as many animals spayed or neutered to help reduce the stray population.
Agnes had been wandering the streets of Greece for at least six months before she was rescued. She had a four-pound mass on her neck and was found in the village of Karditsa. As you will learn, Agnes was understandably nervous at first when she was approached by the rescuers – but soon realized they were there to help!
Agnes was patient and kind throughout her treatments and after three months made a full recovery! Agnes now lives with a loving family in the UK.
This may surprise you, but abandonment is considered animal cruelty, too.
According to caninejournal.com, when people think about animal cruelty, their minds usually start with an image of a dog chained up outside in the cold without any food, or some kind of dog fighting ring where pit bulls are raised to viciously attack one another.
The truth is, there are millions of animals that are being abused by people who aren’t actually intending to do the wrong thing. Animal cruelty includes but is not limited to abuse, neglect, animal testing, misinformation and sheer ignorance.
