No matter how big or small, every single life matters. And this tiny creature is so miniscule that it’s smaller than a human thumb.

It wighs less than a single gram and if you haven’t seen such a creature before then you could keep guessing what it is for days and not figure it out.

According to telegraph.co.uk, this tiny patient at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital weighs just one gram and is their smallest visitor.

She fell out of her mother’s pouch and now needs careful care.
Boop is a baby feathertail glider and has amassed many fans on social media.

A spokesperson for the hospital said Boop will one day return for the wild – but for now she needs careful care.

They said: “Weighing less than 1 gram, Boop the baby feathertail glider is one of the smallest patients at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital!

“After falling from her mother’s pouch, Boop luckily escaped any injury and will now receive round-the-clock care by a specialised wildlife carer until she is ready to return to the wild. Isn’t she precious!”

She may be tiny and cute now – but in the future she will be even cuter.

Feathertail gliders are adorable – and might be your new favourite animal.

Feathertail gliders, otherwise known as the pygmy gliding possum, are the smallest gliders in the world.

The marsupials are native to Eastern Australia and measure just 6.5-8cm in body length. They have soft and silky fur and long, thin tongues.

The creatures eat nectar, pollen, and arthropods such as moths, ants, and termites – but Boop is being fed a special milk mix as he is a baby and needs nursing back to health.

But what is most special about the creatures is that they are able to glide, or fly, short distances from tree to tree.

As well as being adept climbers, they can glide up to 28 m and typically do this about five times an hour every night.

Boop is making a steady recovery and should soon be gliding in the trees with the rest of his furry friends.

Once you understand what this creature is or maybe even before you know you will want to adopt it and love it forever and help it grow into an even more adorable creature.

There is no way you can hurt such a lovely baby and everyone would want to nurture it forever.

Just as it happens with most animals, when they are really small they have to be extra cute so that no person or creature can harm them and will take pity on them.

While the tiniest version is indeed cute, when it starts to see and gets some fur on its tiny body you will see a whole new level of cuteness overload.

It looks like a sort of hamster combined with Pikachu, only a lot more adorable. If it was yellow it would be Pikachu in one cute small package.
