VIDEO: The Best Expectation vs Reality Fails
In life not all things turn out the way we expect them to. There are a lot of factors that can affect our lives and we don’t have full control over every single aspect of it.
This might lead to some really disappointing things when you look at others and then at yourself and see the difference between you.
According to wikipedia.org, in the case of uncertainty, the expectation is what is considered the most likely to happen.
An expectation, which is a belief that is centered on the future, may or may not be realistic.
A less advantageous result gives rise to the emotion of disappointment.
If something happens that is not at all expected, it is a surprise.
An expectation about the behavior or performance of another person, expressed to that person, may have the nature of a strong request, or an order; this kind of expectation is called a social norm.
The degree to which something is expected to be true can be expressed using fuzzy logic.
According to buzzfeed.com, people think that in life they will have had some things sorted out and most people actually realize that the expectation is nothing like the reality, and this applies to most things.
Expectation: You will live in a lovely family home with a gate and a garden.
Reality: You have learned to squint in a way that makes any building seem “full of potential”.
Expectation: You will have two beautiful children and your family will be “done”.
Reality: Either you’re struggling to cope with (and afford to pay for) one small child…or you’re trying to drown out the sound of all of your relatives asking you when you’re going to get on with it.
Expectation: You’ll be rich!
Reality: You have a rich and varied assortment of loans. Student loan, bank loan, loan from parents, credit card loan, and maybe even a mortgage, too.
Expectation: You will be the boss!
Reality: You are still some form of office underling.
Expectation: You will be able to build and mend things.
Reality: You have mangled a lot of Ikea flat packs.
Expectation: You will still stay up all night at mad raves when the mood takes you.
Reality: You prefer to rave all night by the fire with a mug of tea.
Expectation: You will have a tidy wardrobe full of classic, timeless pieces.
Reality: You have a chair.
Expectation: You will cook beautiful, balanced meals full of goodness.
Reality: No.
Expectation: You will spend your spare time bettering yourself by reading the classics.
Reality: You have read many “classic” tweets and Facebook updates, and are halfway through the Zoopla app.
Expectation: You will have a strong sense of style and know what suits you.
Reality: You will struggle with the transition from your twenties wardrobe to something more ~comfortable~.
Expectation: You will finally feel like an adult.
Reality: Nope.
Expectation: You won’t care what anyone thinks about you any more.
Reality: You actually really don’t.
