Her husband passed away, but she had an amazing idea of how to remember him forever!

According to laughingcolours.com, a picture is worth a thousand words. It’s not just a piece of paper, but a basket of memories. They say that the best part about pictures is that the people in the photo might change, but the memories and emotions attached to the photograph never dies.

But what would you do if you want to capture your happiness of lifetime, but what you don’t have is the person to stand beside the photograph. Such is a story of Nicole Bennett whose husband passed away two months before their second child was due.

Deonta, Bennett’s husband, wanted to do a maternity photo shoot with his beloved wife Nicole and their lovely 4-year-old son Landen. Nicole’s delivery was scheduled for March 25, and therefore, her husband was looking forward for the photo shoot.

However, Nicole’s world turned upside down when her husband died unexpectedly on Jan 5. She was 7 months pregnant at that time.

However, she recollected her strength, and decided to do the maternity photo shoot in order to honor Deonta and his last wish. She also decided to incorporate her late husband in the pictures.

“I wanted to do something special because he’s been there for my son since day one,” Bennett told ABC News.

She reached out to a local photographer, Sidney Conley for the photo shoot. The photographer then digitally added the images of Deonta into the pictures. This was something Conley had never done before.

The photographer said, “It brings me to tears, looking at the photos myself. Just how I edited [the photos] with him looking down on them, it’s showing that he’s making sure they’re OK.”

Bennett said, “It’s memories for my son of his father and for my daughter who will never meet her father, it’s memories for her as well.”

Bennett further told TODAY Parents, “Our relationship was like any other—it had ups and downs, but the love we had for one another proved we could never give up on one another.

He was a kindhearted, free soul that loved everyone. It was important for me to do this tribute to him because it’s memories for our kids in years to come. He was always there for our son and his other two kids (from a previous relationship.)”

She did not expect that her photos will go viral on social media. However, she feels happy that her photos have inspired others who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
