VIDEO: 19 World Records That Are Impossible to Break
This video presents the most insane 19 world records that are impossible to break.
You’ll see every crazy record below – from the record setting dog that caught the most soccer balls to the crazy people who popped the most bubble wrap ever!
Most Guinness World Records Held
If the Guinness book of World Records had to choose a mascot, they would do well with choosing Ashrita Furman. Furman has broken the most world records and has the most standing records to this day.
The 62-year-old has broken 551 official Guinness Records with 200 that have stood unbroken or been retired. These include things like “Most Somersaults in a Continuous Distance” and “Most grapes caught by mouth in one minute.”
Possible Largest Watermelon
The only recorded watermelon in an official World Record catalog is the one grown by Christopher Kent back in 2013. His watermelon weighed 350.5 pounds. This photo of a watermelon which first started popping up around 2015 might be evidence of a new King Watermelon, though! It looks as tall as a man, which definitely puts it up in the running.
Most Steps Walked by a Dog Balancing A Glass of Water
On the long list of dogs with weirdly specific world records is Sweet Pea the Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. Sweet Pea walked a record ten steps up, and ten stops going forwards while balancing a cup of water on her head.
Most Rotations Hanging From a Power Drill in One Minute
On the TV set for Guinness World Records, The Huy Giang of Germany proved his extreme level of upper body strength with a fun and, admittedly weirdly specific way, back in 2008. The Huy Giang held onto a power drill connected to a ceiling and let it rotate while he clung to it, going for a total of 148 rotations in a single minute!
Most T-shirts removed While Heading a Soccer Ball
In April of 2009, a Brazilian soccer enthusiast named Marcelo Ribeiro da Silva removed the 21 layers of T-Shirts he was wearing all while bouncing a soccer ball on his head. He’s apparently been doing ball tricks for money to help support his family, so it was basically just another day at the office for him.
Longest Kiss Ever
This Thai Couple is best known for regularly breaking the world record and taking home the prize for achieving the “Longest Kiss Ever.” Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat from Bangkok won the contest organized by Ripley’s Believe it Or Not, beating out all the other couples with their 58 hour, 35 minute, and 58 second long make out sesh.
The pair actually won this annual contest back in 2011, too, so they’re pretty much veteran valentines at this point.
World’s Largest Pillow Fight
The World’s largest pillow fight took place during a St Paul Saint’s baseball game at CHS Field in Minnesota in July of 2015. Actor Stephen Baldwin was present at the event and initiated the 6,261 person pillow melee.
Longest Eyelash on a Dog
The world’s longest eyelash on a dog has been recorded on Ranmaru, an Australian Labradoodle who lives in Tokyo, Japan. As of September 2014, Ranmaru was 3 years and 8 months old and boasted an elegant blond eyelash that measured 6.69 inches long.
