There are a lot of things you could do to increase your chances of having twins. Some are genetic and you can’t really change them or get the overnight, but there are other changes you can make to have better chances of conceiving twins.
It would help greatly if you and your husband have history of twins in the families, but you could also modify your diet, wait until you are older and maybe try conceiving right after getting off the pill.

1. Every year on the first weekend of August, the town of Twinsburg, Ohio, in the United States witnesses the world’s largest gathering of twins. As the Twins Days Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary on Aug. 8 and Aug. 9 of 2015, let us find out some interesting facts about twins.
2. The festival started out as an ode to identical twins, Moses and Aaron Wilcox. The town of Twinsburg was previously called Millsville and that name was dropped after the Wilcoxes donated six acres of land for a town square and $20 for a new school.
3. The first Twins Days Festival took place in 1976, and 36 pairs of twins participated in it.
4. The Twins Days Festival is open to not just twins but to all multiples such as triplets and quadruplets.
5. Twins start to bond in their mother’s womb itself. They may start interacting with each other as early as 14 weeks into a pregnancy.
6. According to a research published in Institute of General Linguistics, up to 40% of twin babies develop a private language to communicate with each other.
7. The average weight of a twin at the time of its birth is about 5 pounds.

15. The existence of the ‘twin gene’ is not a myth. When a woman inherits a gene that causes her to hyper-ovulate — releasing multiple eggs during ovulation — her chances of having fraternal twins increase.
16. If you wish to have twins, start including dairy products in your diet. According to a study published in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine, the level of a certain protein — which is believed to trigger ovulation — is 13 times higher in women consuming dairy products.
