This is the shock winner of ‘worst shop to visit in Britain’

Consumer watchdog Which? has just revealed the shock winner of ‘worst shop to visit in Britain’ regarding customer satisfaction and overall shopping experience, and the “frontrunner” was supermarket chain Morrissons, Daily Mirror reports.

Morrisssons scored only 55 out of 100, and thus came last in a poll of 100 high street brands that included 10,000 respondents. The supermarket chain was criticised for the limited non-food range, such as homeware and electrical products. “It would be better if they had a little more variety,”  a customer declared. “It would be good to see more of a range of household stuff,” another one added.

The result is a massive tumble for the chain that last year was present in the Which? top 40, and it is also a blow to boss Dave Potts, considering the fact that sales had risen 3.4% in the 13 weeks to 30 April and profits had soared 50% in a year.

“Another survey from Which? very recently found that customers thought we were the most improved supermarket in the UK. So we’re baffled by these results, which are based on a very small number of responses,” a statement released by Morrissons said.
