This former pastor now makes $2 million a year
Nicholas Kusmich, who was a Protestant pastor for 14 years in Toronto, quit his day job and ended up earning millions of dollars.
Kusmich now runs a Facebook marketing agency and does personal consulting which brought him $ 2.1 million in 2016, according to a CNBC report.
From his small salary of $ 23,000 per year, the former pastor is on track to earn $2.6 million this year.
Kusmich first found out about online marketing in 2010 when he was trying to supplement his income. He then took classes and started to read blogs and learned that the easiest way to make money online is to sell a niche product.
“The training I took taught me to find a niche that had a huge consumer base where people were spending millions and millions of dollars,” Kusmich said. “It’s an easier thing to sell something in that space rather than try to sell tomatoes in a tomato garden.”
In early 2015, Kusmich started his agency that consults and runs Facebook advertising for businesses. Today, the former pastor earns millions, building campaigns for clients and doing advertising.
He also has online courses for businesses and writes books on the subject.
Despite his change of career, the marketing expert admits that being a pastor helped him become better in his new career.
“If I hadn’t spoken on a stage every Sunday for 52 weeks a year for 14 years, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do now,” he said, laughing.
