VIDEO: They Go for a Job Interview but What Happens Next is Out of This World!
Interviews are pretty scary for all of us and if you don’t have a job or are really desperate to get another one then they become even scarier because it seems that your whole existence revolves around that one conversation that will make them want to take you on and give you the job or tell you you’re not good enough.
A rejection is bad even if it wasn’t the right fit for you after all and even if you don’t really want it you still want them to want you and think you are better than other applicants.
Imagine that you were at a job interview and things got even more scarier than usual. You would be trying to make a good impression when suddenly you would see a meteor falling down, destroying everything in its path. Would you keep your calm and composure and go on with the interview or just run screaming and hide wherever you can.
According to digitalsynopsis.com, in order to promote life-like images on the new LG 82-inch Ultra HD TV, the mischievous folks at LG Chile along with agency Grupo:Link came up with this incredible hidden-camera prank that’s got over 8 million YouTube views, half of a million Facebook shares and 20000 tweets within a week.
The video starts with the slogan ‘Reality or Ultra Reality?’ and then it shows workers setting up a fake office with hidden cameras. They installed the 82-inch television in a gap which made it look like a panoramic view onto the city below.
The LG crew created a fake office and meticulously installed an 82-inch ‘Ultra HD’ TV in place of an actual office window. They rigged the entire room with hidden cameras and played a video of the city scape on the TV making it resemble the view from an actual window. They then invited job applicants for interviews. The 82-inch television that they installed in a gap made it look like a panoramic view onto the city below, just a window like no other.
While the interview is taking place the ‘outside’ view changes to one in which a meteor crashes into the city. The applicants are shocked and scream in terror as the devastation comes closer to the office ‘window’.
The applicants who were sent to the room as the interview began in a formal manner were all shocked when a bright light on the TV screen lit up the sky. It looked like a gigantic meteor was coming, crashing down and destroying the city. All of them reacted differently, but seemed to be just as afraid.
The right HD sound effects were used followed by a power cut which leaves the unsuspecting victim alone in the dark room. Eventually, the LG crew comes in and reveals the prank. The clip ends with the slogan ‘The World’s First 84 Inch Ultra HDTV’.
After the ad went viral online, people on social media identified the job applicants as recognized Chilean actors and claimed that the entire stunt was staged. Whether this is true or not, remains to be seen.
