VIDEO: Mother Dog Saves Human Baby

On a winter night in Argentina, this stray dog, who had recently become a mother, turned into a hero after finding an abandoned infant in an alley. She and her pups curled up with the baby all night long and helped keep it warm, until a neighbor heard the child’s crying and took it to a hospital. The infant’s mother was later arrested. Stories about humans rescuing animals are common. Often, our four-legged companions simply don’t have the physical or mental capacity to get themselves out of precarious situations caused by their owners.
Sometimes, though, a situation arises where our furry friends are actually the ones called on to save the life of a person. Although rare, an event like this is a true testament to how caring and empathetic animals can be.

Having a litter of puppies of her own, she let her maternal instincts take over to help save the baby’s life.
A stray dog named Way, from Argentina, became the talk of the town recently when she came across an abandoned 1-month-old child in an alleyway one night. Apparently, the child’s 33-year-old mother left the baby to die in the freezing winter temperatures.
Way became an instant hero, and the local news covered her incredible rescue story. Resident Alejandra Griffa heard the baby’s cries the following morning. She immediately rushed the baby to hospital, and the child’s mother was detained by authorities.
This dog’s maternal instincts saved the life of a child, despite the difference in species. Way’s is a truly amazing story of compassion!
While most mothers take care of their children and would even risk their lives for the well-being of their children, there are some mothers that do not deserve to be call this, women that have no maternal instinct whatsoever and that do not love their children. They had them even though they didn’t want them and because of financial or other types of reasons they do not want to keep the child. Instead of taking them to an orphanage, at least, they decide to get rid of their bewborns in gruesome ways. Luckily in moments like this, when some women fail at being moms others raise to the occasion. Sometimes it’s other people and sometimes it seems it could also be dogs.
Way has shown us in this video that dogs are sometimes a lot better than human and that they are capable of wonderful, kind things. For Way it didn’t matter that it was a baby from a completely different species and that it wasn’t her duty to take care of it. She just understood that the baby was going to die if she didn’t take care of him so she took action instantly. We hope that both the dog and the child find forever homes.
