When Anthony Yorfido, a young man of only 24 years of age that had down syndrome, tried to get tickets to see his favorite band, Aerosmith, live in Welland, he was devastated to find the tickets were totally sold out.
According to goodnewsnetwork.org, the Aerosmith singer was in town performing the band’s classics and some new solo material with a backing band for two nights. The first day had passed already when Anthony and his mother walked into a medical supply store. They couldn’t help but notice the limousine out front.
Then something unbelievable happened. Walking into the medical supply store with his mother, Anthony ran into Steven Tyler, who was looking for a back brace. They hug tightly, got to talking and the rock legend offered the boy and his mother backstage tickets to that night’s show.

When the 68-year-old rocker learned Anthony wasn’t going to get to see the show, he assured them he’d take care of it. And he totally did. The young man thought that he would be sitting in the crowd just like the other fans, but instead, he got the royal treatment. He was offered backstage passes to rock out with the crew but that wasn’t all, there was a lot more to make this night truly memorable.
All of a sudden, Anthony was called up on stage by Steven Tyler himself and he was given the chance to jam with the band alongside his idol in front of thousands of people.
Anthony joined his idol in singing Aerosmith’s signature hit, “Sweet Emotion” in what had to be an emotional night for the young man.
The happy man was given a couple of maracas to help Steven Tyler with his musical act and he really did them justice and didn’t stop until the song was over. He had the time of his life and all thanks to a superstar that stopped to think about doing something good for another human being.

Most people wouldn’t have guessed that Steven Tyler stops to take care of people and help them as they saw him as just a really bad-ass rocker, but the man has a heart of gold and would do anything to help others.

The young man surely had the night of his life and he will always remember that he was one of the few people that ever had the chance to be on stage at the same time with the lead singer of Aerosmith, a living legend.

For those that have the same condition and have to live with down syndrome, Anthony is already a legend and has made a name for himself and has become a superstar over night.
