VIDEO: Keva – Most Peaceful Retreat in British Columbia
Even though from the outside it may look like nothing more than a plain wooden home, that couldn’t be further from the truth. In this tiny house lives Rebecca Grim, a 27-year-old yoga instructor. She calls it “Keva”, short for “Kevala”, meaning “peaceful, pure, simple”. Featuring some brilliant design elements and plenty of natural lighting, the house gives the impression of being much larger than it really is. The ceilings are 15 feet tall and the actual surface of the house is 232-square-foot. Rebecca explains how the cost of building it was a total of $50,000 and the $300 rent she pays covers water, electricity, parking, Wi-Fi and orchard access. Take a look inside!
