Deadline to register to vote in General Election is fast approaching
Voters only have until midnight on Monday by 11:59 pm to register to vote in the General Election. The registration process takes only five minutes.
To register or update your address for the snap election on June 8 visit gov.uk/register-to-vote.
You can use this service to apply to register to vote or to: update your name, address or other details on the electoral register You ca also change your voting preferences, for example, to vote in person or by post.
You don’t need to register again if you’ve already registered. You may need the following documents for the registration process: your National Insurance number and your passport if you’re a British citizen living abroad
You need to be on the electoral register to vote in elections and referendums.
Residents who want to vote in the upcoming UK election must take into account the fact this service is for England, Wales and Scotland only. You’ll need to register using a different form if you live in Northern Ireland.
There are also separate registration services for public servants who are likely to be posted overseas.
