Racist far-right groups march through the University of Virginia.

With chants of “Blood and soil!” “White lives matter!” and “we will not be replaced!” several hundred torch wielding racists marched through the University of Virginia in Charlottesville late Friday night.

Members of the Ku Klux Klan, “Alt Right,” (Neo Nazis) and various white supremacy contingents marched tonight just ahead of their Unite the Right rally set to take place on Saturday in Emancipation Parkformally named Lee Park.

Six to ten thousand counter protesters were expected to attend the rally. The city of Charlottesville has responded by putting up barricades and deploying the National Guard.

This demonstration was ostensibly in protest of the removal of the statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee. The City Council of Charlottesville voted to remove the statue of Robert E. Lee and other confederate monuments in April.

Richard Spencer, “Alt Right” leader and president of the National policy institute was present the rally and enthusiastically tweeted his support.

This is not the first time that racist protestors have reminded the USA that it is still an overtly racist society. On July 8th, at least one thousand protestors confronted the Klan in Charlottesville as they were escorted and protected by local police in riot gear. Twenty-three protesters were arrested for disorderly conduct.

The city objected to the demonstrators’ requested gathering spot — the formerly named Lee Park, where the city ordered the removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.The American Civil Liberties Union and the Rutherford Institute, filed a lawsuit Thursday against Charlottesville the on behalf of the racist organizers.

The “Alt Right” and even organizers do not intend to postpone or cancel this or any future events.

The only police present were the campus police who broke up small skirmishes between the “Alt Right” and the counter protesters.

“The fear we instill in them today only fuels our victory tomorrow,” stated one organizer and Klan member.
