Championship side Bristol City sign Eros Pisano on a free transfer.
Bristol City, of the Championship, today secured the signing of out of contract Italian right-sided defender, Eros Pisano.
The thirty-year-old, who can also play in a midfield, formerly with Serie B side Hellas Verona began his career as a junior with Varese. He moved to AC Pisa in 2007 in a co-ownership deal, but only made seven first team appearances before moving back to Varese. Pisano made a total of one hundred and eighty appearances for Varese scoring seventeen goals.
In 2011, Pisano was sold to Serie A side US Palermo for a fee of £1.57m, making his Serie A debut on September 11th of that year at home to Inter Milan, where he was on the winning side in 4-3 win. He went on to make eighty-two appearances for them, scoring on three occasions.
2013 saw him being loaned out to Genoa, where he played a total of ten times before moving to Hellas Verona on loan in February 2015. At the end of the loan spell, he signed for the second tier side for a fee of £850k. Whilst with Verona he appeared on fifteen occasions.
His only honours won to date are winning Serie D in 2006 with Varese and the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione in 2009 again with Varese.
Pisano was last season linked with a possible move to Swansea City.
