Another reason why the Green Bay Packers have the best fan base in sports

The dedication of fans to their teams can sometimes be too hard to describe with words. For the fans of the Green Bay Packers, this is one of those cases.

With the third round of OTAs(Organized Team Activities) starting on Tuesday for the Green Bay Packers, returning cornerback Davon House wanted to make sure that he got to these workouts on time. Unfortunately for him, he missed his connection flight from Minneapolis to Green Bay with the OTAs starting in less than 9 hours. After facing this setback, House decided to take to make a cry for help over Twitter so he wouldn’t be late for the workouts for the team. Dedicated to make it in time with the team, he tweeted “Any Packers fans in Minnesota want to take a trip to Green Bay (with a sunglasses emoji) maybe I can hitch a ride (followed by a thumbs up emoji).”

Shortly after sending out the tweet, Packers fans as well as brothers Chad and Mike Johnson came to his rescue so the three could embark on the nearly 5 hour drive to Green Bay. They even brought a pillow for House if he needed rest on the long ride. Once the brothers helped House reach his car at the Austin Straubel International Airport they thought this was the end to their unforgettable road trip but they were wrong. Along with paying for the 80 dollars of gas for the brothers, House invited the brothers back to Lambeau Field at 3:30 to take pictures in front of the 4 Lombardi trophies, to sign Packers merchandise and take a tour of the very locker room that the players use. For the two Johnson brothers, this was an experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives and it’s all because they would both go to extremes to help their heroes in the Green and Gold if they can.

This is just one of many examples of how dedicated the fans of the Packers are. Forbes has even ranked the fans of Green Bay the best in the NFL and rightfully so. Not only can you hear Packers fans taking over opposing teams’ stadiums with ‘Go Pack Go’ chants, but the Packers would dominate the statistics provided by Nielsen ratings such as national TV ratings, monthly unique audience to the team’s website, and social media impressions. Additionally, the Packers also have 360,854 shareholder owners with the city of Green Bay having a population of 312,409. This means that Forbes, as well as Packers fans all around the world, have every right to say that this is by far the best fans base in the NFL.

As for Davon House who spent his first 4 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, the decision to sign a 1 year deal with the team was a no-brainer. The fact that he could actually trust two complete strangers based off their dedications to the green and gold, is a statement that the Packers have a more than loyal fan base and the players have let it be known that they appreciate their support.
