Why This Is The Rangers Year (Just Like Every Year)
The New York Rangers will make the playoffs. Will Henrik finally win the cup?
The New York Rangers have made some interesting decisions since the Penguins yet again raised the Stanley Cup. They must have been watching, we all were. Henrik knows there isn’t much time left.
There are plenty reasons to be excited about next year. The Shattenkirk Mcdonough Pair might be the best in the league and should amplify their historically horrid powerplay. Lindy Ruff is now assistant coach. Rangers fans finally got to see a top ten pick and after watching videos of Lias Andersson who most deemed unworthy of the slot. He’s going to be the playmaker we need between Nash and Vesey. Word is Vesey is trying to get his Harvard buddy Alex Kerfoot to come aboard as well. That’s also good news.
But above all else is the elite goaltending we’ve received from Henrik Lundqvist. Say what you will, his spotty play in the past seasons is definitely evidence of wear but Rangers fans after years of bad play have watched playoff hockey every single year Henrik has played. He has only missed one year of having 30 wins, and that’s because of the lockout. They let Raanta go and signed an aging backup which entails that they plan on doing their best to get the King his crown.
A betting man would say that the Rangers are going to be in the playoffs next year. With the expansion and a fevered offseason, it could very well be their year.
