The three medal winners face the media at press conference.

In the aftermath of the Men’s 100m World Championship final on Sunday, the athletics world is still reeling from Usain Bolt finishing third (in his final professional race) and losing out to the controversial Justin Gatlin who took the gold medal whilst his fellow American Christian Coleman took the Silver.

Bolt was the huge favourite to win what would have been his twentieth gold medal but had to settle for the bronze this time.

At the start of the race (when the athletes were at the starting blocks) Bolt was met with universal cheers from the crowd when his name was mentioned where as Gatlin (who had previously been banned for failing two drugs test) was met with boos around the stadium but that didn’t stop him from powering through to become World Champion was beating Bolt. The medal ceremony was no better for him with boos ringing around the London stadium.

At the following press conference the three medal winners defended one another against “disrespectful performers”.
