Citroen is planning on launching luxury brand DS in the USA
French group PSA Peugeot-Citroen captured the whole world’s attention when it announced that it reached an agreement with General Motors for taking over German constructor Opel, but another piece of information slipped under the radar.
Citroen is planning on launching luxury brand DS in the USA, according to CarBuzz. The information comes in the context in which neither Peugeot nor Citroen have a presence in the USA.
DS would launch a new model every year until 2023, according to Autocar, targeting a 33% share on the electric and hybrid auto market. Moreover, every single one of its models will also have an electric version.
One of the DS models is DS7 Crossback, an SUV that will compete against the BMW X3. Another one is DS E-tense, an electric model with 402 horse-power.
