BMW have announced that in spring of next year more gutsy versions of the M2 will hit the market.
BMW have announced that in spring of next year more gutsy versions of the M2 will hit the market. Although they will be of a higher price range they will provide greater horse power and have some added extras.
The M2 CS will have a 3 litre 6 cylinder combustion engine that will see power progressing to 405 bhp. The torque will also be increased to 370lb/ft, which will increase the acceleration time from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds to 4.2 seconds.

The CS will also be lighter than the M2 by approximately 25 kg. To reach this target BMW have lightened the sports seats, reduced the previously cumbersome suspension and will amalgamate an aluminium roof into the design. For the improved performance and improved aesthetics of the aerodynamic body kit and enhanced wheels the additional cost will be between £7k and £8.5k.
The M2 GTS is likely to cost over £85k – in a higher price bracket – but probably won’t reach the market until 2019. This price tag will see significant advances in its performances. With the implementation of a dual-water injection system – seeing an increase in its impulsion of up to 444bhp. The weight will also be reduced by 50 kg. The M2 GTS may see its performance enhanced to such an extent that it could give the M4 a run for its money. The M2 is set to get way more tantalising.
