Model Y teaser released by Tesla
Elon Musk is at it again as he and his peers release a teaser of a new Tesla car model that his company has been working on. Model Y, also known as Model 3, is scheduled to be to released to the public in the coming years.
Having confirmed two years ago that the Model Y was in the works, Elon Musk and his peers over at Tesla have been gearing up for the event of releasing new car models in the coming years. On Tuesday, June 6 Tesla held its annual shareholders’ meeting in California and was happy enough to disclose some information regarding a few upcoming initiatives of the company. The first official teaser of the Model Y was finally released to the public, a seemingly vague image of a single car staring right at the consumer.
Being a sleeker concept that previous attempts of making a car look cool, Musk himself stated that the Model Y may prove to be even more popular than the original design of the Model 3. However, the question now becomes “when” exactly will the Model Y be officially introduced for buyer consumption. Musk confirmed during the shareholders meeting that the next car likely to be coming off Tesla’s line would be the Tesla sem-truck. Regarding this semi-truck Musk states that it will feature the “highest weight capability with long-range” and it is expected to have a working prototype before 2018.
Elon Musk is a prime example of an opportunist who likes to make new products for consumers. Whenever he sees the need to make something new for the market of his choice, he simply goes after his ambitions and makes a consumer base’s dreams a reality. Tesla has a great track record of making the kinds of cars that consumers want, and with the Model Y possibly coming by the end of the decade it appears likely that Tesla will move right along with its production in the Automotive Industry.
