Tesla announces 100 new service centers and hundreds of mobile units
As it rolls out its first production Model 3 cars, Tesla announced one hundred new service centers and over 350 new mobile units to service customers. The U.S. company says a shop visit will ‘likely be complete before you finish your coffee.’
Tesla says, in a new video posted on its website, that with remote diagnostics 90 per cent of car issues can be identified and if needed, the company can send a mobile technician. Over 350 new mobile unites will be available, Tesla says, announcing its recruiting 1,400 new technicians and opening one hundred new service centers.
According to Tesla, this will increase the service capacity three times worldwide.
Tesla car owners will soon be able to schedule an appointment from their vehicle and take their car to the shop. Here, service ‘will be quick and seamless—and likely be complete before you finish your coffee,’ Tesla says.
