This sounds like the ideal nanny job, but there’s a catch
A Scottish family has posted a job announcement in which they stated they are looking for a live-in nanny, with a salary of £50,000 a year. It may sound amazing, but there is a catch to it: the house where the family lives is supposedly haunted, and they had five different nannies in the past 12 months.
The Scottish family posted a job ad on childcare.co.uk in which they detailed their search for a nanny. They wrote that the offer is £50,000 a year, for a nanny willing to spend a lot of time at their house boasting ”spectacular” views over the Scottish Borders and look after their two children, aged 5 and 7.
The nanny will also be given her own room, en-suite bathroom, and private kitchen area, besides 28 days of holiday a year. Nevertheless, the parents explained that they lost five workers in the past 12 months, due to ”supernatural happenings” in their historic home, such as glass shattering and even ”strange noises”.

“When we saw the advert we were stunned. Some of the guys at HQ were sceptical but after talking to the family and their previous employees we realised it was a genuine position. We have hundreds of thousands of providers on the site and we’re hoping that one of them will be able to help them,” Richard Conway, founder of childcare.co.uk , said. “We’ve had some weird and wonderful families find childcare providers through the site, however I think this is probably the most interesting story we’ve heard. The family has assured us that no harm has come to anyone living in the house, however the nanny will have to have a strong disposition,” he concluded.
